A cabin A/C system brings together a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator, an expansion valve, pipework and a handful of O-rings. The refrigerant leak is almost never in the new component: it is in the joint, in the seal twisted on the final tightening, in the connection badly indexed before the dashboard is closed up.
