Two taps and it's in the ERP — humans stay in command
Two-tap human validation is what sets iLEAN apart from an "autonomous" AI agent that enters data on its own and ends up contaminating several clients' master data at once. Everything iLEAN just captured, in any mode, lands here: the photographed picking sheet, the earpiece-dictated issue, the parsed customer email. No long forms, no data-entry screens: just the essentials, ready to confirm at a glance.
In a multi-client warehouse, one bad entry contaminates several clients at once.
Everything iLEAN just captured, in any mode, lands here: the photographed picking sheet, the earpiece-dictated issue, the parsed customer email. No long forms, no data-entry screens: just the essentials, ready to confirm at a glance.
- Everything iLEAN captures lands somewhere: the photographed picking sheet, the dictated issue, the parsed client email, the receiving delivery note, the scale reading.
- An “autonomous” agent that writes those straight into the WMS can contaminate several clients' master data in one afternoon: stock, locations, lots and expiry dates that later drive picking.
- The alternative today is the opposite failure: data is not captured at all, or is retyped later by someone who never saw the pallet, out of distrust of anything automatic.
- Either way, when a client asks who confirmed a quantity or a lot, the answer is a guess instead of a name, and in a contract with a food or medical client that matters.
Connect with early human verification — two taps at the dock.
✓ to send it into the ERP/WMS, or ✏️ to correct it before it crosses into the system. Latency: seconds. Nothing new to learn — the interface is built for a two-second validation, not for typing data.
This is what separates iLEAN from an AI that enters data on its own. The person at the dock does not type anything; they confirm or correct a summary that is already assembled, with expected and received side by side. Without this piece, the other eleven do not get signed off, because nobody responsible for several clients' stock lets a model write into it unchecked.
Unvalidated data versus data confirmed at the dock
| Aspect | Today | With iLEAN |
|---|---|---|
| Who writes to the WMS | Whoever types, or nobody | A person at the dock, confirming |
| Time per record | Minutes of data entry | Two seconds, two taps |
| A wrong capture | Enters and spreads across clients | Stopped at the tablet |
| Expected versus received | Compared later, if at all | Side by side on screen |
| Who confirmed a quantity | Unknown | Name, time and dock |
| Training needed | A data-entry screen to learn | None: ✓ or ✏️ |
Before: data enters unvalidated and contaminates the system, or isn't captured at all out of distrust. After: every capture is confirmed in 2 seconds before crossing into the master data.
Impact estimate — to be validated with your numbers.
The block below is an estimate to be validated against your plant's actual data. We put it forward so the committee has an order of magnitude; we refine it during the assessment.
- No standalone payback: this is an enabling piece, and we do not put a number on it by itself because its return is collected by every other case.
- It is the piece that makes the rest of the matrix approvable, because it removes the fear of AI writing into several clients' master data.
- Every record that crosses into the ERP/WMS carries the name of the person who confirmed it, the time and the dock.
- And every correction is stored, so extraction improves exactly where it was failing at that dock, with that supplier or that client's paperwork.
Strategic value · the piece that enables the entire iLEAN matrix. Without this piece, the other eleven don't get signed off: it's what breaks the fear of AI "entering data on its own" in a multi-client warehouse.
And the fair question from the production manager
“If a person confirms everything in the end, what is the AI saving?” — the work is not in deciding, it is in assembling: today someone would have to find the order and type every line. The captures that feed the tablet are anchored tasks, where the best models drop below 1.5% error [1], so most confirmations are a single ✓. The person's job shifts from typing to checking, which is the part that actually needs a person. And every correction is stored with its author, so the system learns where its extraction fails at each dock.

What people ask about validating at the dock
How long does a dock validation take?
About two seconds. The summary arrives with the essentials already assembled, and it is resolved with a tap to confirm or a tap to correct. Long forms are exactly what this screen avoids. A trained receiving or shipping lead resolves dozens of them per hour without leaving the dock.
Can the AI post to the WMS without anyone confirming?
No, and it is not a setting that can be switched off. Data crosses into the system only after a human confirmation, for every client and every type of capture. That is the architecture, not a policy that someone could relax on a busy day.
Who should hold the tablet?
Whoever is physically at the point of the event: the receiving lead at the inbound dock, the shipping lead at the outbound dock, the supervisor for his own dictated notes. One tablet per active dock is the usual setup, mounted where the person already stands.
What is recorded when someone corrects a value?
The original capture, the corrected value, who changed it and when. It serves as an audit trail for the client and as feedback for the model at that specific point. Over time those corrections show which suppliers, clients or documents need attention.
Does it slow down the dock at peak times?
No, because it replaces data entry rather than adding to it. The bottleneck at peak today is typing and searching for the order, not confirming a summary. Most teams find peak hours become easier, because the summary already has the order found and the lines assembled.
