What people ask about capturing the shift by voice
Does it work with the noise of the forming area and the oven?
That is the design condition. The earpiece is compatible with hearing protection and the recognition is prepared for industrial noise and for the trade's vocabulary: crimp, cutter, doser, blast chiller.
Do people have to speak in a particular way?
No. You speak in natural language, the way you would tell a colleague. iLEAN structures it afterwards: line, batch, symptom, criticality and shift.
How does it know which batch the incident refers to?
Because the dictation is tied to the order and the line active at that moment. If the line lead names another batch, the one they name is used: the person is in command, and the system only fills in the context it already knows.
Does it generate the shift handover on its own?
Yes, from what was dictated during the shift, already structured by line and criticality. It is the first thing people notice, because today that handover depends on the memory of whoever is heading out the door in a hurry.
Is it useful for seasonal staff?
It is one of its uses with the most room to grow. The history of fine tuning on forming and sealing is exactly what does not get passed on today and has to be relearned at every seasonal peak, when new people join both lines at once.
