Every shift in a beverage plant starts with three pieces of paper: the work order printed from the ERP, the shift start sheet the operator fills in by hand, and the syrup room sheet recording which concentrate and which sugar went into the finished syrup. Between them they define the entire batch: what is filled, on which line, in which container and from which raw material.

What people ask about digitizing shift start-up
Do we have to change the start-up sheet?
No, and that is the condition. The sheet is tuned to how that plant works and to what its quality plan requires. Replacing it with an on-screen form ends with the operator writing on paper anyway and typing later.
Does it recognize handwriting from several shifts?
Yes, because the model is not asked to guess free text: it is asked to fill fields on a form it already knows. A low-confidence field is flagged on the tablet for a person to confirm.
Does it include the syrup room sheet?
It is the one of the three that adds the most value, because that is where the concentrate and sugar are recorded. Without it, batch traceability stops halfway.
Do we need ERP integration from the start?
No. The case works from the first shift against iLEAN's central memory and the push into the ERP is connected afterwards, once there is demonstrated value.
Does it hold up as evidence for the licensor?
