Nothing enters the system without a human signing it

This is what separates iLEAN from an autonomous artificial intelligence agent that writes data without signing it and ends up contaminating the master. Everything the AI captures on the floor passes through a human gate first. The critical data on a harness is its identity, part number and revision, plus component traceability: reel, terminal lot, connector lot. If a wrong value enters the system, nobody notices that day.

The problem

A wrong figure does not show up that day. It shows up when you have to bound a containment.

The critical data on a harness is its identity, part number and revision, plus component traceability: reel, terminal lot, connector lot. If a wrong value enters the system, nobody notices that day. You notice weeks later, when you have to bound a containment and the traceability points to the wrong place. And distrust is contagious: the moment the plant stops believing the system, it goes back to the parallel spreadsheet and everything gained is lost.

  • If a wrong figure enters the system, it does not show up that day. It shows up weeks later, when a containment has to be bounded and the traceability points to the wrong place.
  • And distrust is contagious: the moment the plant suspects the system, it goes back to the parallel spreadsheet.
  • There, everything gained is lost, and winning it back costs far more than doing it right the first time.
How it fits the IRIS system

Early human verification: large cards, two taps, and only then does it cross.

With Connect in early human verification mode, an industrial tablet at the board shows large visual cards with what iLEAN has just captured through any channel, photo, voice, panel or test bench, with the uncertain field highlighted. Two taps: confirm or correct. Only then does the data cross into the central system. Latency: seconds. The correction is stored too, and feeds the tuning of the grounded model. Humans in command, literally: the system does not write to the master without a human signature. And in a plant where part of the workforce is always on the learning curve, that fast gate is also the new operator's safety net.

Impact estimate

Impact estimate — to validate against your numbers.

The block below is an estimate to be validated against your plant's actual data. We put it forward so the committee has an order of magnitude; we refine it during the assessment.

  • Estimated payback 3-7 months.
  • Mostly from fewer traceability errors and the containment over-scope they cause.
  • Validation latency: seconds, not an office step at the end of the shift.
  • And an effect that never gets invoiced but decides the project: the plant stops maintaining the parallel spreadsheet.

Estimated payback 3-7 months · fewer traceability errors and less containment overreach Estimated payback runs three to seven months, mainly through fewer traceability errors and less of the containment overreach they cause. An estimate to validate.

And the fair question from the production manager

"If a person has to look at it anyway, what do we gain?" — looking is not keying. What they get is large cards with the uncertain field highlighted, and the anchored extraction work is already done [1]. You go from transcribing twenty fields to confirming one. And the real gain is that the data lands in seconds instead of at shift close.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask about early human verification

Does it slow the board down?

It is two taps on large cards, designed to be read with gloves on from a metre away. The time it adds is seconds, measured against what a badly bounded containment costs.

Who should validate: the operator or the leader?

It depends on the data. Harness identity and component lot are validated by whoever is handling them; anything going to a quality master is better signed by the role that already owns it today.

Can validation be skipped when there is pressure?

No, and that is the point. What can be tuned is which fields require a signature: not all are critical, and asking for a signature on everything ends with people signing out of habit.

Do the corrections do anything?

Yes, they are stored and feed the tuning of the anchored model. The fields corrected most in the first weeks are the ones tuned first, and the validation load drops on its own.

Does it work with gloves and floor noise?

It is designed for exactly that: industrial tablet, large cards, two taps and no typing. If typing were needed, it would not get used.
