Two taps that keep the ERP clean
Nothing iLEAN captures enters the central system without a human seeing it first. A line-side industrial tablet shows a 2-second visual summary; the supervisor confirms with 2 taps (✓ / fix).
The fear of a dirty ERP master stops digitization before it starts.
the fear that AI will "enter data on its own and leave someone to clean up the ERP master" is the main cultural brake on digitization. But the supervisor doesn't want to type between stations either.
- The main cultural brake is not technology: it is the fear that AI will enter data on its own and leave someone to clean up the ERP master.
- On a workwear floor that fear is concrete: it is not abstract caution, one wrong size or color in the master travels into labels, cartons and a customer program shipment.
- But the supervisor will not type between stations either, so the alternative today is data entered late or not captured at all. Late data is useless for the shift that needed it, and missing data is worse.
- Either way the master is wrong: contaminated by unvalidated data, or empty out of distrust. And the people who have to clean it up are rarely the ones who caused the error.
Connect with early human validation — a 2-second summary and two taps.
Connect early human-validation mode. Every capture (bundle ticket, voice, email) goes to the tablet with a visual summary before crossing to the master. UI built for 2-second validation.
This is the piece that makes the other eleven approvable. Every capture crosses into the master with the name of the person who saw it, and nobody has to choose between a clean ERP and a captured floor. The tablet is where trust in the rest of the system is built, one confirmation at a time.
Today's data entry versus validated entry
| Aspect | Today | With iLEAN |
|---|---|---|
| What reaches the ERP master | Unvalidated data, or nothing | Data a person has seen |
| Supervisor's time per capture | Walk to a terminal and type | Two seconds, two taps |
| Latency | Hours or days | Seconds |
| Who answers for a value | Whoever typed it | Whoever confirmed it |
| A wrong size or color | Found on the label or the carton | Fixed on the tablet |
| Can AI write on its own | — | No, by architecture |
unvalidated data contaminating the ERP, or data not captured at all out of distrust → validated data with seconds of latency, clean master.
Enabling value — no payback of its own, and stated as such.
The block below is an estimate to be validated against your plant's actual data. We put it forward so the committee has an order of magnitude; we refine it during the assessment.
- No standalone payback: it is the enabling piece for the whole matrix, and we prefer to say so rather than force a number onto it.
- Its value is strategic and not directly monetizable: it is what lets the payback of the other cases be approved. Without it, IT and quality do not sign off on any case that writes to the master.
- The ERP master stays clean: validated data with seconds of latency instead of unvalidated data or no data.
- And every value carries the name of the person who confirmed it. When a customer program asks who entered a value, the answer is a name, a time and the original capture.
the enabling piece for the whole iLEAN matrix. *Strategic value, not directly monetizable*.
And the fair question from the production manager
“If a person confirms everything, what is the AI saving?” — the work is in assembling, not deciding: reading a bundle ticket, a dictation or a supplier email and laying it out as fields is an anchored task, where the best models drop below 1.5% error [1]. The supervisor only looks at a summary that is already assembled and confirms or fixes. Every fix is stored, so the system learns where its reading fails. The supervisor's two seconds are where the whole matrix earns the right to touch the ERP.

What people ask about validating on the sewing line
How long does each validation take?
About two seconds: the tablet shows a visual summary and the supervisor taps confirm or fix. The interface is designed for that and nothing else. Big buttons, no menus and readable with gloves, because it lives next to the sewing line, not in an office.
Can iLEAN write into the ERP without validation?
No, and it is not a setting someone can switch off: data only crosses into the master after a human confirms it. That is the architecture, and it is what quality and IT usually ask to see first.
Which captures go through the tablet in workwear sewing?
All of them: bundle tickets, supervisor dictations, supplier emails, efficiency spreadsheets and fabric delivery notes. One habit for the supervisor, whatever the source of the data.
What happens when the supervisor fixes a value?
The fix is saved with its author and the original reading, which serves as a trail and as feedback to improve that specific field. Over weeks, the fixes concentrate on fewer fields, which is the visible sign that reading is improving.
Does it have to be deployed first?
In practice yes: it is the piece that lets everything else be approved, because it guarantees the ERP master is not contaminated. It is also the cheapest to deploy, which makes it an easy first step.
