iLEAN Writer is iLEAN's industrial labeling and printing module. Supports GS1, DataMatrix, QR and RFID; connects to industrial printers (Zebra, Sato, Honeywell, Datamax, TSC); and generates labels per batch, pallet, box or individual piece with full traceability data embedded — without anyone re-typing anything from the ERP. It's the entry point to the iLEAN Tracer system.

How it fits the IRIS system
iLEAN Writer isn't a standalone label editor — it's a piece of the IRIS system. That means every printed label is recorded in the central brain together with its batch, work order, customer, operator, printer and timestamp. When someone scans that label — on the line, in the warehouse, at a customer — the system knows exactly what story it carries.
A label without a system is paper. A label inside iLEAN is the physical memory of the product across its whole life.

How does it integrate with my ERP?
iLEAN Writer pulls data from the ERP (batch, work order, customer, expiry date, product) via the Integrations layer of the IRIS system, embeds it in the label template and triggers print to the line printer. No one re-types anything. If the ERP doesn't expose data via API, we support flat-file reads, CSV exports or direct DB queries.
Is there a free version of iLEAN Writer?
There is no free version. iLEAN Writer is part of the iLEAN Tracer system and is billed as part of the traceability module. Open-source alternatives exist (NiceLabel Community, free Bartender Designer) for simple labeling; iLEAN Writer adds IRIS system integration, bidirectional traceability and GS1 regulatory compliance.
