When a customer claims against a failing coating, the first question is always the same: which resin lot did it carry, and what else did we make with it? If the answer lives in delivery notes, PDF certificates and a production spreadsheet, scoping takes days — and the commercial decision is taken on prudence: block more than needed, notify more than needed.

  1. The supplier's CoA arrives as PDF or paper — filed unread unless there is a problem, its values never checked against the agreed specification at goods-in.
