What people ask about connecting the test lab spreadsheet

Do we have to standardize the lab sheet first?

No, and it is better not to. Asking the lab to change its sheet is the fastest route to the system going unused. iLEAN reads the one that exists, in the shape it has today.

What about tests that take days, like climatic cycling?

They enter when the technician saves the result, like any other. What changes is not the duration of the test but the time between the result existing and the ERP knowing it.

Is the license reduction realistic?

It depends on your contract, which is why it is framed as an estimate to validate against last year's invoice. The logic is simple: anyone who logs in purely to type stops needing to.

Does it help when the auditor asks to cross a test with a lot?

That is where it shows most. The result is tied to the lot and the production order at insertion time, so the cross-reference is a query, not a reconstruction.

Does it watch the folder or the technician?

The folder. The file is read when it is saved and only the delta is processed; there is no tracking of who opens what or how long they spend on it. The lab manager is the only person who sees anything new, and what they see is a summary to validate.
